Reginald E. Johnson Memorial
Scholarship Fund Club, Inc.

The R.E.J. Memorial Scholarship Fund Club, Inc. was established by the Pride of Melbourne Masonic Lodge #318 in 1980 with the consent of the Johnson Family. In 1982 the "Club" became a separate entity thereby expanding itself to include people from all walks of life and all professional levels.

The committee became incorported in the State of Florida in December1983 and the name changed to the Reginald E. Johnson Memorial Scholarship Fund Club, Inc. In 1984 the club formed an advisory board consisting of professional people , to act as monitors of the Club's activites and to advise the Club as to the betterment of carrying out its goals and objectives.

Annually, the Club has four major fund raising events: A Scholarship Awards Banquet, Bowl-A-Thon, Golf Tournament, and "Taste of Brevard". Funds gained from the events help deserving graduating Brevard County seniors reach their highest educational goals.

Since 1980, the Club and its early version as a committee, has awarded over four million dollars in scholarships to these deserving students. These scholarships have served as a catalyst for youths starting their college and professional careers.
